This is my walkthrough for the Mighty Hoax level 5-3 for the iPhone game Angry Birds.
You can get all three stars in this level by only using two angry birds.
- Aim the first angry bird at the chimney sticking out of the house on the right. Drop the into the indicated gap. You will have to try a lot of times, but you need to get both of the pigs on the right with the first bird.
- Aim the second angry bird the top of the square rock. If done right, you should cause a collapse that will set off the TNT and get you the last two pigs.

After hundreds of tries to drop the egg exactly right – I used a different strategy. Use the first bird to drop the egg on the large house form the top. It is possible to collapse the entire house and kill both pigs. Then use the second bird to hit the first tower just below the concrete block. This topples the structure to ignite the TNT to kill the rest. If the large house is still partly standing – use the remaining birds to destroy it and any pigs left.
I got it the second try with two birds, all three stars, and a score of 88,790

You’re right, it took me about a half dozen tries, but I finally got the egg to drop in the right spot and the whole structure on the right collapsed and got the two pigs! High score of 86,910.
Took a lot of tries but it works. Got 88,000!
Tried it just like u had it and didn’t kill any pigs. Just rubble protected them, making it nearly impossible
After exactly 104 tries (believe me, I counted, and I have the dead iPhone battery to prove it) this FINALLY worked. Only 4 of those tries did I kill those two birds with the first bird. You have to drop that damn egg at THE EXACT PERFECT ATOM to get it right. I’d be surprised if the creators of this game haven’t been threatened with violence.

Worked fantasically. It took a while though. You should show the angle at which the birds are at when they’re in the slingslot. That would be helpful. Thanks a bunch!!
Didn’t work exactly but partly worked lol. I bombed the house with the pigs in it but one pig was still alive O_o

I attempted to use your strategy and you’re right, it was pretty difficult. I used your technique with a bit of a twist. I didn’t get three stars, but at this point I don’t care. I’ve been trying to beat this level for some time now! Two stars and moving on! I’ll try getting three stars some other time. Thanks!!!
i did it 3 using the same steps u said, just on the first shot, one of the pigs ont he right remained and i got him after. score was 84170, three stars
